November DCM + Gift of Giving

What: The November Division Council Meeting is a meeting within the division. The event will have a variety of people from Region 16 and possibly people from San Francisco. GoG is a day full of service with our Kiwanis Family members that features several service projects geared towards our ISI and DSI that will benefit the community as a whole. Some projects include scarf making for those in need and making candy turkeys for the children that eat at St. Philomene’s Soup Kitchen every Tuesday. Cost of Lunch is Free Get hours for Gift of Giving only.

When: Saturday, November 18th 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Where: Sacramento State the Union, with the Redwood Room as the main room

Run To Feed the Hungry Run

What: Help us make the 24th annual Run to Feed the Hungry a successful event! Volunteers are needed to serve in a variety of roles. Please note the following information. You must be age 16 and up to volunteer for this special event. Sign up soon because half of the shifts are full!

Just For Kids Party

What: The Just for Kids party is a Christmas gift giving party where we (Mira Loma) pair up with El Camino High School’s Key Club to help kids from Cancer affected families have a fun Christmas party. We will be hosting a prep party (TBA) and the party. WE NEED AROUND 10 PEOPLE TO ATTEND

What: Volunteers ages 14 and older are always welcome at Sharing God's Bounty. Our volunteers set up tables and chairs, fold napkins and forks, serve dinners, serve drinks of milk, juice and/or coffee, and after dinner, clean up and then take down the tables and chairs.

Kiwanis Art Auction

What: The Kiwanis Art Auction is an event where you can bust tables with appetizers, help set up tables, and clean up. It is a really fun event to attend and you can meet a bunch of new people from Rio Americano and El Camino. Dinner is also provided!

Where: Carmichael Presbyterian Church: 5645 Marconi Ave., Carmichael (Drive in on west wide of church. Parking lot and entrance in back.)

Holiday Craft Fair

What: The Holiday Craft Fair is an event where many independent artists, may it be cooks or jewelry makers, can sell their merchandise. As a community service organization, we help provide lunch and food for the attendees and artists. You can get hours by providing a snack and/or attending the event. If you attend the event, we’ll be setting up/cleaning up and selling goodies.
