Kids Can Sorting

What: Help the Carmichael Food Closet sort donated cards from the Kids Can food drive.

When: November 17, November 21, and/or December 12. Each day: time is flexible, starts a little after 3 pm, ends around 5 pm/5:30 pm

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

2014-12-11

What: Raise money for the UNICEF Eliminate Project to vaccinate mothers against maternal neonatal tetanus! Carry the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF box with you, dress up in a fun costume, and go raise money for a good cause! Every $1.60 you collect protects a mother and her future children against MNT. $1 can provide a child with 40 days of clean, safe drinking water. $5 can bring a malnourished child back to health. Club goal: $250.

When: REMINDER: TURN IN YOUR BOXES!

Where: During the meeting on Monday (Room : F-3)


Fairytale Town: Winter Wonderland

2014-12-11

What: Celebrate the holiday season at Fairytale Town! The storybook park will be open for play, trimmed with festive holiday décor and lit up with a dazzling display of lights, starting at dusk each night. Volunteer duties include greeters, arts & crafts, costumed characters, and maintenance.

When: December 13, or 14; 12:30PM - 7:30PM each day.

Where: Fairytale Town

Native Tree Planting at Lambert Road #2

2014-12-11

What: Volunteers will be revegetating a portion of Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge by planting 200 new tree and shrub seedlings. All training and tools will be provided. Ground will be uneven/muddy, so please be prepared with closed toed, preferably water resistant/proof, shoes. After parking, we will be walking 3/4 to 1-1/2 miles to the planting area.

When: December 13 9AM – 12PM

50 Bikes for 50 Kids

2014-12-11

What: On Monday, January 19, 2015, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the National Day of Service, community volunteers will join forces in North Natomas to help 50 kids transform bike parts into 50 ready-to-ride bicycles.

When: January 19, 8:30AM – 5PM. Shifts are available if you only want to volunteer for part of the day; email Vivian for more information.

Where: Natomas Middle School, 3200 North Park Dr

Winter Clothing Drive

2014-12-11

What: Please bring in good-quality clothing (preferably winter clothing) for the Thailand Buddhist organization, which gives away clothes every Sunday along with a meal. As many of you saw at the DCM, the clothes selection was very limited and especially with winter coming it will be harder for many people.

When: Every meeting!

Where: Mira Loma High School (Room: F-3)

Santa’s Gift of Service

What: This is Sac State Circle K's annual Single Service project, which allows Key Club, Circle K, and Kiwanis club to come together and dedicate a day towards service! This is a FREE event, with food provided, and will be on the CSU Sacramento Campus.

When: December 6th, 10 AM – TBA
