Kiwanis Crab Feed

2015-01-13

What: Help at this annual crab feed and raffle fundraiser hosted by our sponsoring Kiwanis club! Volunteers will serve food and drinks to the guests and serve as raffle item runners. Free pizza is provided for volunteers, and Key Club t-shirt must be worn. This is mandatory for the new officer board, unless you will be out of town, etc.

When: February 6th, 4:30PM - 10:30PM

Where: St. Ignatius, 3235 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA 95825

ML Dance Marathon

2015-01-13

What: Help raise money for the UC Davis Children’s Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network by volunteering at this annual 6-hour dance for all Sacramento high-school students filled with dancing, food, bounce-houses, music, carnival games, and more. Volunteers needed for registration, baggage, games/activities, and more.

When: January 17, set up is 12 – 4PM, during 4 – 10PM, clean up 10 – 11PM. Can volunteer for multiple shifts.

Where: Mira Loma High School

50 Bikes for 50 Kids

What: On Monday, January 19, 2015, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the National Day of Service, community volunteers will join forces in North Natomas to help 50 kids transform bike parts into 50 ready-to-ride bicycles.

When: January 19, 8:30AM – 5PM. Shifts are available if you only want to volunteer for part of the day; email Vivian for more information.

Where: Natomas Middle School, 3200 North Park Dr

Annual D1 MLK Day of Service

What: Join together for the Annual District One Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, as we celebrate Dr. King's legacy by working together to beautify parks and meet with Councilmember Angelique Ashby. Snacks & water will be provided. Please bring work gloves, tools, closed-toe shoes, and long pants.

When: January 18, 1pm-4pm

District Convention 2015

What: Are YOU ready to celebrate service, leadership, and family at District Convention 2015? District Convention is when Key Clubbers from all over California, Nevada, and Hawaii meet to attend workshops, elect next year's district board, raise money for charities, and dance at the Governor's Ball. It will not count for service hours, but is an unforgettable experience and highly recommended if you are thinking about running for an officer position next year.

When: March 12-15, 2015.

Where: Anaheim Convention Center; we will take a charter bus there together.

Signup By: Email Vivian by January 12th, 11:59 pm to register. The deposit for hotel, meals, transportation, etc. will be $200. This number may change later depending on bus costs and club funds. Late registration is $40 extra, so be on time!


Project RIDE

2015-01-08

What: Volunteers will help serve food and drinks at the crab feed fundraiser to support the Project RIDE therapeutic horseback riding program for people with disabilities. On the second day, volunteers will help take down the tables. Heavy lifting will be involved.

When: January 16th, 4PM - 8PM; January 17th, 9AM - 1PM; January 18th, 8AM - 2PM (free breakfast included).

Feed a Family

2014-12-22

What: Volunteers are needed for assembling, packing & distributing food boxes to help benefit families in the greater Sacramento area.

When: December 18, starts at 3:30PM; December 19, starts at 4:00PM, and/or December 20, starts at 7:00AM. Each day, the event will be around 2.5 - 3 hours long, depending on how many volunteers are there.

Where: St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, Parish Center Gym

Kids Can Sorting

What: Help the Carmichael Food Closet sort donated cards from the Kids Can food drive.

When: November 17, November 21, and/or December 12. Each day: time is flexible, starts a little after 3 pm, ends around 5 pm/5:30 pm
