Festival of Colors

What: What: Interactive dance, DJ's, Mantra bands, Cuisine, Colors, Free Hugs, Lotsa Love. Volunteers receive free admission, free bag of colors, and free lunch. Anyone who wants to stay thru the takedown (6 pm) will get a free t-shirt.

Region Training Conference

What: DepaRTC will be a day jam packed with spirit, training, and a passion for Key Club! The event will start with opening session, and then be followed with 4 Workshop sessions with Lunch and a Division Council Meeting in between. Then, we will close out the day with a closing session to commemorate the day. People from 5 division of key club will be attending this session.

23rd Annual Great American River Clean Up (GARCU)

2017-09-15

What: Each year, the Parkway Foundation facilitates two large-scale, Parkway-wide Clean Ups and monthly, site-specific Clean Ups. Spanning all reaches of the Parkway, Clean Ups remove mass amounts of debris from the Parkway in just a few hours. Removing debris makes the Parkway a more enjoyable and safe space, helps protect the river eco-system, and improves water quality.

When: Saturday, September 16 from 9AM - Noon

Gold Rush Day Events

What: The unique four-day event features a wide variety of crowd-favorite entertainment, all free to experience and enjoy. Get ready to turn back time to the 1850s! Free to the public and a wildly favorite Sacramento heritage celebration. This year, we need volunteers who are enthusiastic about history, our city, and events. A a volunteer, you will work on one or more of the following:-Info Booth-Ticket Sales-Beer Garden Decorating and Setup-Country Dance Decorating and Setup-Beer Crawl-Overall event management

When: Saturday&Sunday, September 2nd–3rd 8 AM – 10PM (depending on shifts)

Ronald MCDONALD house – Outdoor Work party

What: Join us in helping maintain the grounds of the Ronald McDonald House by pulling weeds, trimming bushes, laying woodchips, cleaning playground and patio furniture - pretty much anything that needs some attention outside as well as duties inside the buildings and upcoming special event preparations.

We try to keep the people in our care surrounded by cleanliness and order in order to leave them with as little stress as possible during a tough time in their lives. So, your contribution of time goes so much farther than just making our lawn nice, and everyone here appreciates you so much!

Mulch Madness

What: As part of our NeighborWoods Initiative, we're working to support and empower the community's desire to improve South Sacramento through tree planting and care activities. Since summer is too hot to plant, we're throwing a Saturday morning Mulch Madness party at Pollack Ranch Park. We need your help caring for its magnificent trees! Water, tools, and training will be provided. All we need is for YOU to join our wacky crew as we spread mulch and perform various other tree care activities.
